Frequently Asked Questions.
What if I’ve never paddleboarded before
Many guests are new to paddle boarding, but our SUP tours are designed for beginners & seasoned paddlers alike. Our experienced guides provide as much or as little instruction is needed on the fundamentals, including balance, paddling technique, breathing and safety so you feel confident before and after getting on the water.
Do I need to be in good shape to paddle board?
Paddleboarding offers a gentle, low-impact workout that’s suitable for all fitness levels. The pace is relaxed, and you can take breaks as needed. SUP tours are a great way to enjoy nature and get some light exercise at your own pace.
Is stand-up paddle boarding safe?
Yes, SUP is very safe when proper guidelines are followed. You are connected to your board at all times, and our guides will be with you throughout the experience. Calm waters and basic safety protocols make SUP a beginner-friendly activity.
What if I fall into the water?
Falling is normal, especially for beginners, and our guides will teach you how to safely get back on the board. Plus, you’ll be in calm, warm waters, so falling can be refreshing and part of the fun!
Can I still participate if I’m not a strong swimmer?
Absolutely. Remember, you will always be connected to the best floatation you can have, and our guides are trained to assist all guests on the water and in every situation.
We also choose safe, calm areas for paddle boarding where you can comfortably stand, kneel or sit on the board if that feels more secure or when you want to take a break.
